About This Game

*Dawn Road village is cozy, sleepy, and brimming with the hope of growing a tiny bud of crush into a fully blooming romance.**You will start as a villager. All grown up, you are ready to pursue a relationship with someone special. You have a sweetheart in mind, but right now, your sweetheart might not even know that you exist!* *It is now in your hands to woo them with Presents, find their Favorite Gift, increase their Heart's color, and gain Approvals from their Important People.* ----- *Villagers in Love* is a solo journaling game where you navigate your relationship with your sweetheart. It is highly inspired by cozy farming simulation games, but you'll do great even without any prior knowledge about them. It is not about punishing you as a player, but how you build narratives about your life as a character in Dawn Road village.  To play this game, you need a deck of playing cards and a way to record your journal. You can play the game with physical or virtual cards, just remove or ignore the Joker cards you get.  This game is a part of Solovember Game Jam 2024.  ----- ### Is this the right game for you? Do you have original characters (OC)?  Do you have a *yume* ship?  Do you enjoy farming sim games, especially the part where you give presents to the eligible bachelor/bachelorette and gain their heart in the process?  If you answer yes to any of these questions, you'll be right at home with this game.  You will need several sessions to complete the game. We recommend playing at your leisure.  ----- ### Was this game made by humans? Yes, this game was (and currently is) developed by humans. No gen AI was used during the development. By supporting this game, you're supporting people - the writers, game designers, and other roles needed to bring this game to the table. (Pun intended.) *Human Made icon pack was created by Hinokodo. Grab them from this page!* ----- ### Where's the print-friendly option? This is already printer-friendly, we hope! Most home printers come with the option of booklets. We use Ep\*son L3210 at our home, and our setting for an A5-sized booklet is like this:  1. Prepare 13 sheets of A4 paper  2. Open the file  3. Print using system dialogue 4. Select the correct printer > Preferences 5. "2-Sided Printing" > "Manual (Long-edge Binding)" 6. "Setting" > "Left Long-edge" 7. Check the "Booklet" option > Pick either one (we love Center Binding) 8. Apply all these changes until you start printing. 9. When being prompted, or when your printer runs out of paper, flip the papers horizontally (left to right or by the long edge) 10. Use a large staple to bind the papers Done! There will be changes between printers, but most commercial printers can handle this. If you want a collated paper that you can print normally without getting through all those hassles, let us know!  ----- ### I found a typo on... / I want to ask about... Ask right away. We're not chronically online \*cough\*, but we'll try to respond as fast as humanely possible. We'll be waiting for your feedbacks. Changes on December 1, 2024: we added more community copies! Let us know how you feel about the game?
