About This Game

# What Have We Got Here? *The Peddler's Prize* is an item-detailing **world building game** in which **you and up to nine friends** build out an inventory of interesting Objects and determine these Objects' ties to factions. Starting with a set of uncolored object illustrations, you'll choose factions with a vested interest in tactile curiosities and discover each Object's story together. In the end **you'll have created an inventory of oddities**, the peddler who sells them, and have a guide for which factions have the most sway over the market, all wrapped up for use in another game, setting, or story. ## Any Setting or Genre As a worldbuilding tool, *The Peddler's Prize* works great when played in an existing setting. So if you have a game already going, and want to create some memorable items for and with your players, then this game is perfect. ## A Beak Feather & Bone Hack My favorite part of *Beak, Feather, & Bone* is that at the end of the game, you have a map that you have spent time collaboratively detailing and building a world around. You've created a storied artifact of play that is ready to use for another project or game. I created *The Peddler's Prize* as a way to do that for strange items. I imagine this game will be used in much the same way to build out a shop and its keeper, determine what they have in their inventory, and understand why they have it.  ### To Play You'll Need: * A Deck of Cards * Colored Pencils * A d10 * Yourself and up to 9 friends * Something to write on * Something to write with * An uncolored inventory sheet of Objects * A copy of *The Peddler's Prize* ## Human Made This project is entirely made by humans and their tools, none of which are generative AI. We do this because we think that the process is a big part of the point, and we enjoy the process. We also believe in valuing art and we use money for that in this case. Supporting this game with your own money will directly help real humans with real bills. ## The Team Emily Entner - Writing, Layout Jon Boyle - Editing, Game Development Katie Murray - Art, Inventory Page Layout
