About This Game

The in-universe sequel to

The Attrition Engine: Ouroboros Protocol

“Imagine Kowloon Walled City if it hadn’t been torn down, and it was the late 24th century. Fusion power has been discovered, cities have grown upward, and the world has become even more unstable. Global powers vie for domination of the Terra Dominus Empire that controls the global economy. Kowloon Walled City is a semi-major player in the new world and has what people call “leftovers”; garbage tech from without the city repurposed and rebuilt within. Sometimes, it actually works. No one really knows how or why. Some say “Magic” is back, others blame “psychics”. You ask me? I say we’ve taken tech TOO far and something other than “us” finally noticed. Who’s to say? Not you, though. You? You live in the KWC and this is just your Tuesday.

It’s said, “The only constant is change.” Here? It’s not just said. I can’t think of a better example of “The only constant is change.” than Kowloon Walled City, right now, in 2386.”

-Yes, one of the enemies is an undead V12 combustion engine who fires flaming pistons.

-Yes, one of the enemies is a complete mirror doppelgänger of yourself.

-And yes, one of the enemies is a literal Einstein-Rosen Bridge. A wormhole. In spacetime. YOUR spacetime. Good luck!

-And finally, what if I told you that the apex of enemy AI scripting isn't AI scripting, but your mind instead?

This is a procedurally generated "dungeon crawler" with some light journaling aspects. It is NOT a typical TTRPG. You WILL be asked to recurse rooms. You WILL be asked to draw non-Euclidean spaces on 2D graph paper(don't worry, it works, no spacetime breaking i promise).

The Attrition Engine has a way of making your "game" feel a bit... weird.

Things You Will Need:

-a D6(the game requires a maximum of 6)

-graph paper, a pencil... and you'll want an eraser
