About This Game

TarotWeaver is a fantasy tabletop roleplaying game inspired by the enchanting aesthetics of Over the Garden Wall and Adventure Time. With simple mechanics and an emphasis on creativity, TarotWeaver invites players to step into a world where imagination takes center stage, and every new card flip could lead to a new adventure.

TarotWeaver is a classless game, allowing players the freedom to create and envision the characters they want to play. TarotWeaver's game system features:

  • Flexible spell system that allows for creative problem solving.

  • Comprehensive background generator.

  • 78 unique traits.

  • Rules-lite "draw under" system.

  • Guidance on creating adventures using tarot cards.

  • Solo-play rules.

  • Two adventures with explanations on how they were designed.

  • Random tables with 234 entries.

  • 41 Magic Items.

Bestiary with 32 monsters.

Optional rules for non-human characters (faefolk, rootfolk, greenfolk, gnomefolk, and wildfolk).

TarotWeaver also features solo RPG rules using a modified system of the One Page Solo Engine by Inflatable Studios. Weavers can now make solo journeys into the wilds of the Primsatic Vale, braving the dangers of the world at their own peril.

Taking inspiration from games like Whitehack, His Majesty the Worm, Cairn, Into the Odd, and Dungeon World, TarotWeaver uses a simple “draw under” system that allows for quick, easy, and engaging gameplay.

Players take on the role of Weavers, intrepid adventurers and explorers probing the depths of the mysterious Prismatic Vale. A strange and enigmatic world full of mysteries and dangers, the Vale tests all who enter its labyrinthine interior.
