About This Game

Pokémon Shaleis a 54-page, fan-made, tower-defense, map-drawing, solo-tabletop game about exploring mysterious dungeons and expanding your community. Your search for others will begin by drawing rooms from a deck of cards. The events and structures you encounter are yours to then weave into a grand tale and sketch onto your map. Once you have spent enough time to understand the dungeons rules, they are ready to be broken down and reshaped as the world grows and new Pokémon are ready to be discovered.

Gameplay Features

Choose your starter Pokémon and venture into the depths, battling opponent Pokémon, recruiting them to your team, and making strategic use of your structures and resources throughout the explored dungeon. Cards are drawn to represent random events or resources, which can be spent to upgrade your town.

Features include:

  • 56 unique Pokémon to encounter and recruit

  • 26 random events and encounters

  • An Elite Boss Battle awaiting at the dungeon's depths

  • A variety of items, quests, and discoveries

  • Team-building and tactical combat

  • Replayable dungeon runs with randomized elements

Beta Notice

This project is currently in beta. Player feedback and playtesting are essential for refining balance, difficulty, and gameplay systems.

The current release represents only the first floor of the Mystery Dungeon. Additional floors, Pokémon, encounters, bosses, and mechanics are planned for future updates as development continues.
