About This Game

Just One Dragon is a free, solo toolkit for Dragonbane RPG that includes a set of random tables and additional procedures for helping you explore Beyond the Breach, or outside the bounds of the Misty Vale. It does not replace Alone in Deepfall Breach, but rather acts as a supplemental resource.

Blott en drake ingår i en serie regelsystem designade för solospel, och expanderar möjligheterna från Drakar och Demoners egna solospel Ensam i avgrundsgapet. Du behöver Grundreglerna till Drakar och Demoner för att använda Blott en drake.

Additionally, it can be used as a GM toolkit to help run impromptu one-shots, games in other settings, or for inspiration outside of the published adventures.

It includes:

BASIC SYSTEMS

  • A d12 Inspiration Table for what happens on a failed roll

  • Suggestions for additional d6 "scale" tables

  • A method for introducing random events, including a table

  • A "Change the Scene" option for when you change focus and want to see if anything unexpected has come up

  • A full d100 Oracle that is based on expanding the existing d20 oracle in the solo rules

REGION DESIGN

  • A process for quickly rolling up a unique region map

  • A process for adding in known features, including settlements, temples, ravines, ruins, etc., and advice on how to add them in later during exploration.

  • Travel Time system to help you determine just how long it will take to get from Point A to Point B so you can plan accordingly

  • A Hex Danger checker to see how many times you need to check for Events

  • A system neutral Failed Navigation Roll

  • A Weather Table for all 4 seasons

RANDOM EVENTS

  • A System Neutral d12 Travel Events checker that includes Encounter, Spoor, Travelers, Hazard, Unusual, and Discovery. Includes a set of d6 tables to refine what you find

  • A 2d6 table to determine what exactly you ran into, with sub-tables to help get more specific, including:

A full d20 table if you run into a Kin, based on where you ran into them to see who you run into, along with a set of d66 tables to flesh them out. Includes the Bestiary races, with advice on adjustments if you don't have it

  • A d20 Biome Encounter table for figuring out what you ran into based on where you are. Includes the Bestiary, but can be used without it.

  • 2d6 Tables for:

Reactions, just in case they are friendly

  • Strength, so you know how many there are

  • Activity, just in case they're currently asleep

  • Trouble, just in case they're running from something worse

  • and Morale, just in case they don't want to die over 6 silver

  • A d20 Event Location oracle that is based on current Biome.

SETTLEMENTS

  • A full list of tables to help build your own Outskirts from the Misty Vale, or maybe even a port city! Includes a full set of d66 tables for getting a name, condition, focus, and what you may find of interest

  • An Urban Events table to see if something happened while you were away

  • A d20 Urban Encounters table

  • A d66 set of random Rumors that are generic, but with enough meat to be creative

  • 2 pages of rules for Hirelings, just in case you don't want to use more than 1 character sheet, or you need specific help in a dungeon

QUESTS

  • d20 table for designing a Dungeon Dive quest

  • Adventure Quest design for something more long-form or "campaign"-like to involve more than just treasure hunting

ADVENTURE SITES

  • A full table to determine: What is it and why is it here?

  • A full set of Site Design details to figure out who lives here, how dangerous is it, and what dangers will you face?

  • A point-crawl system for Exploration with over a dozen tables for dressing, environmental conditions, and details to really make it unique

  • A d12 Events table specific for Dungeons, along with more specific d6 tables to let you know what you just encountered

  • A Threat System based on Alone in Deepfall Breach, but expanded to allow for greater time

  • A searching and scavenging system

MISCELLANEOUS

  • A full 2 pages of advice on how to run an Investigation, along with twists to keep it interesting

  • A 1 page Faction sheet to help you make factions unique to your unique setting!

  • A 1 page bit of advice and a system for Scene Challenges, or Extended Challenges, where a simple die roll is not enough (useful for chases or interrogations)

  • A d66 Generic Locations oracle!

  • A d66 Adventure Site Name generator!

  • 2 pages of Guidance on playing Dragonbane solo!

Go forth, have fun, and Happy Delving!
