About This Game
'everything begins small' is a collection of 15 games made for 200 Word RPG Month 2025 on Tumblr, run by @200-word-rpgs on Tumblr, with all 15 games being written during November 2025, for a total of 2,887 words written across the month.
Games in this collection range from solo games, to duet, to multiplayer. Some are about bogs, some about nature, some about transness, some are based on silly jokes or phrases.
Each game is downloadable as a separate file [# - title], or you can download them all together: [everything begins small - collection], which has internal hyperlinks. The other option is [everything begins small all games compressed.zip] which is a .zip folder with all of the individual games.
1. bog + body
A two-player game where together you are a bog body. One player is the presence of the bog, and the other the presence of the humanity. After waking up in a museum, the two players fight for control to determine which will win, and where the bog body will lay to rest.

2. they cloned [your name]
A game for three players, played over messages, where one has just realised they're a clone, one is a person who cares about the clone, and one is The Agency, ready at any second to decommission the clone, if they reveal too much. How will this end? Will the clone convince their friend that they're okay, will they worry their friend too much? Or will The Agency decide to end the experiment?

3. a final act of devotion
You're going to die. This is a game of setting a scavenger hunt for someone who loves you, setting them up to find the password to your accounts so they can tell your online queer friends that you're dead. Go through your memories to choose places to send your devoted.Â

This game will take you to two places, and ask you to consider humankind's role in these places, the effects of time, and what you can do temper human destruction of natural spaces.

- The Time Flies
You are a time travel agent, and you have recently returned to your home time. However, your romps across the timeline have left rips in the fabric of the world, which can only be fixed by Time Flies. Count their presence, take note of where they show up, then clean up the mess. Maybe you'll even find fellow time travelers.
