The Dead West Widow***

Dead West Widow is a solo (1-player), western survival-horror, tabletop roleplaying game with a simple resolution system and a tragic premise. On the desolate trail, the only stat that matters is the number of bullets left in your chamber—and every shot fired brings your final reckoning one step closer.

It's 1880 in the Calamity-ruined American frontier. As the titular Widow, you'll set forth on the trail, seeking safety, sanctuary, or solace. Use the oracles to weave encounters and events that require something from you. The challenges you face are not tests of skill over the environment, but challenges of interaction: who or what do you encounter, what must you give up to survive, and what does it cost you? When unavoidable challenges arise, do you respond with bravado, bargains, or bloodshed?

Dead West Widowis the first playset for the Revolver Core engine, which runs on a single d6 (though you might want a few more to help with the oracles and roll tables). As the Widow, you'll press on through challenges until your chambers are spent—how far did you get? Did you find a way to escape? Or did you find a way to survive?
